Equine Assisted Therapy is the process of using the horse environment to create a space for an individual to explore their inner obstacles.
These may be fear, grief, anger or any other emotion.

Equine Assisted Therapy provides an individual with the opportunity to interact with horses to explore your own obstacles and adversity in an environment where the horses are at liberty, as this provides honest feedback to a persons current abilities. By trusting that awareness we create a platform for personal growth and the environment to explore the concepts that shape who we are and who we are yet to become..
Mostly working with the horse at liberty, personal obstacles and perceptions can be explored in many different ways.
With the assistance of the therapist, who will asking curiosity questions to help the individual look deeper into their emotion or obstacle. Until a form of harmony is restored.
It is fascinating to see how the space is able to draw out any emotional conflicts that a person has at that current moment.
Working on self awareness, self regulation, independence, assertiveness, goal setting and achieving, self regard, self esteem, self respect and resilience (among others), the environment created can become a metaphor for the area or obstacle the client is wishing to explore and resolve.
We can use the horse environment for team building exercises, to help develop better communication and relationships with families, partners, friends or co-workers.
By carrying out self analysis and looking at your own relationship to any given obstacle, we can reconnect with a solution so you can become the person you are aspiring to be.
